The Data Loader can de-duplicate records during import.
Below is the answer and explanation for the question in the Salesforce Exams.
The Data Loader can de-duplicate records during import.
- True
- False ✅
Correct Answers
False ✅
Explanation
Implement a way to de-duplicate Records using the Data Loader other than just the Record ID. There should be a way to specify which Fields are queried when upserting for de-duplication. Currently you need to use the Record ID for upserting. But if you are upserting new Records into Salesforce there are not a Record ID’s, as the Records have yet to be created in Salesforce. Allow for a way to designate specific Fields for de-duplication when using the Data Loader for upserting. This will allow an upsert which is creating Records to designate which Records are already created in Salesforce without needing to have the Record ID as part of the .csv file. Thus elimnating duplicate Records using the Data Loader. The Import Wizard currently doesn’t have the desired functionality of the Data Loader.
