User acceptance testing, also known as end-user testing, is executed to determine whether or not the digital service being tested performs as expected. Since user acceptance testing is the last stage of testing before a web or mobile application, for example, is released to the public, it is a fundamental way for brands to ensure they offer the highest quality service possible. For smaller or big brands or organizations looking to develop consumer-facing web or mobile applications, software user testing plays a huge role in uncovering bugs or anomalies that can be found on these platforms.
Sad thing is that user testing is often quite neglected by many (mainly smaller) companies.
In a very tight client’s budget where clients cut everything what they did not think is important, user testing is mostly one of these “deleted items”.
Because “Why to pay someone to test anything after my developer to whom I have already paid a hell of money, right?”
Well, the more complex application or project, the more things which you or developer or your team did could missed to test. And even for smaller websites with few subpages you will need to have a proper checklist what to test and even after this initial check you will find in the final stage of development a lot of bugs and things which can be fixed or done better. This normal process, everything has to be checked several times before to the final release to the live environment. And with all these aspects od user testing from initial to final stage I can help you out.
I will help you set testing goals before the testing starts (what kind of KPI to meassure and how to collect these data). Because firstly we have to be sure, we are able to get the proper data after we do all the work is done. To be able evaluate how these changes affected your website. Doing that after testing is… simply too late :-).
I can help you to prepare specific tasks and write you a individual testing scenario for your testers.
If you don’t know where to find user testers, I can also do this part. I have also my proven team of subcontractors for user testing with whom I regularly work on clients’ projects.
I will write a clear report for you and specific recommendations forsite upgrade (which can include not just editing of the current pages, but creating new for sure). I will go with you through this individual report and explain you the outcomes and how they are related with your website / e-shop / e-commerce project or mobile app.
Sometimes you just don’t need me for full-time (this sad part of the story honestly but it is life). But you just need to an advice or just make sure you’re heading in the right direction. And one good piece of advice can save you hours of research or just save your time, money or energy (or the whole business).
It is very individual, the price for testing services vary from service to service, client from client – some clients need more work to be done, some need to just polish small details or get them to the right track. Some need full-time dedication and care. It really depends.
So basically said – I will tailor my services to your unique needs and will be depending upon the size and scale of your business and for sure the number of tasks we need to solve or improve during my contract.
As large-scale businesses require consequently more time, smaller companies sometimes need even more time because I have to simply set up everything from scratch (and educate you, your team or people involved).
Therefore I evaluate the cost of my proved testing services after a detailed review of your website / app / project and get all necessary information.
Because data or statistics can give your just part of the answers – what does not work as intended or can identify the possible weaknesses in a numericall way. But these data will not let you know why is ti happening. And only user testing with real people can help identify possible errors that were probably overlooked or prove your hypotesis (where the problem is).
It can basically give you answers to questions like:
The web can only convert (and therefore make a profit) if it is used “properly” by your visitors or customers. Every single error can cost you quite a lot of money – imagine that one of a hundred customers will leave your site because there is a bug. It will cost you $100 per day = per year = $3650 lost in revenue just due to a one error.
Website users often see the web in a completely different way than your IT professionals or you , so you should always to check if the site suits well to your customers and if there is any room for an improvement (or to be sure there are no critical bugs). Because sometimes even small change can have a huge impact, but because of tunnel vision we don’t see that.
