Moderator
Definition:
Moderators on different forums are responsible for keeping checks on the ongoing conversations and to ensure that guidelines are followed.
Information:
Good forums are made with good moderators; great forums are the result of great moderators. When there are no moderators, it results in a bombardment of spambots leading to ghost towns.
Eliminating or altering unacceptable posts, guiding fresh visitors about page rules, and potentially blocking profiles of continuous offenders make up the key duties of moderators. Moreover, they also assist in responding to unanswered queries as they hold expertise in their area.
Volunteers occupy most moderator positions; however, rewards may be given indirectly. A prestigious position can be gained in a group by being a moderator. Even business leads can be obtained through this job because moderators regularly get in touch with potential customers.
