HIT
Definition:
When a file is requested from the webserver is called HIT.
Information:
‘Hit’ has been wrongly used by people since long. It is wrongly associated with special viewers, visits, page traffic, or a combination of these.
When a file is requested from a web server, this is known as a hit. Requisition of a webpage is considered a hit, but so is a plea for a graphic on a web page. As the amount of graphics per page can differ greatly, hits may not give efficient results when used for comparisons.
One shouldn’t use the word ‘hit’ until they consider its implications.
