Beyond The Banner
Definition:
Web-based marketing that doesn’t include the standard GIF and JPEG banner advertisements.
Information:
Beyond the banner is shown by what it is not, rather than what it is (JPEG or GIF banners that are 468 pixels wide by 60 pixels tall).
Advertisements that have the standard format of banners are easily bought and sold on the web. These banners are so widespread now that they are often equated with web-based marketing. Still, this factor also leads web visitors to take them for granted.
